Following our proud tradition, the fifth vintage of our Special Selection Reserve (S.S.R.) is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon once again. Aged for 30 months in New French Oak followed by 30 months aging in bottle before release. This wine captures a prime essence of the Mt. Veeder appellation by demonstrating its aging capability. This extracted wine is an example of the power and elegance behind this distinct AVA even after five years of aging. Only 50 cases produced in 2010.
Showcasing a very dark red in color with a deep red/purple edge. Fragrant plum aromas open to a bouquet of dark chocolate, brown sugar and blackberries followed by flavors of black tea, graphite, blueberry liquor and exotic vanilla on the palate. This wine is structured with bold tannins followed by a silky ribbon of flavor that flows elegantly into a long, lingering finish. This wine will reward the consumer with years of longevity.
