The winemaking philosophy at Progeny focuses on extended barrel and bottle aging, resulting in wines of power, balance and elegance with an exotic bouquet and a lingering finish.
Each year, Progeny releases four limited-production wines: Trinity Blanc, Trinity Rouge, Mt. Veeder Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and their flagship bottling, Special Selection Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Progeny’s Special Selection Reserve (S.S.R.) presents a luscious expression of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 11th vintage remained in French oak for 32 months, followed by 36 months of bottle aging before release.
Showcasing a dark red purple with an opaque center, deep and fragrant aromas of wild black fruits, lavender, crushed rocks, baked plums, and cedar pull you into the glass. On the palate, you’ll find flavors of mission fig laced with violet undertones and toasted vanilla bean. This wine is dense, rich, and enormously concentrated, mixing power and elegance. We believe you may age this wine in your cellar for another 20+ years.

2019 Mt. Veeder Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2019 cuvée rested 22 months in French oak and 24 months in bottle, reflecting Progeny’s approach to extended aging prior to release for all our wines. The dark purple color, with an opaque center, foretells a wine of enticing aromas: powerfully aromatic boysenberry, rose petal, dark-roast coffee beans, and cassis. Flavors of mixed berry compote, black cherry and graphite integrate smoothly with great length and silky tannins.

2019 Trinity Rouge
Annual Spring Release 2024
The seventh vintage of Trinity Rouge utilizes traditional Southern red Rhône varieties growing on our Estate. Aged for 22 months in French oak and 30 months in bottle, this wine showcases a dark red center with a purple hue and semi-opaque core. The aromas carry notes of brambly black fruit, espresso, black cherry, and leather. The striking flavors of boysenberries, plum and baking spices complement the chalky tannins and long finish.

2020 Trinity Blanc
Annual Spring Release 2024
The grapes were harvested in late August and early September, then whole cluster pressed and fermented in a combination of French oak, concrete, and stainless steel. The 2020 Trinity Blanc presents a light straw in color with a green hue and brilliant appearance. Delicate aromas of lemon grass, honeydew melon, kumquat, and beeswax intermingle. This wine has balanced richness with bright acidity and a long finish offers notes of green apple, lemon curd and honeysuckle flowers.
