2006 Progeny Special Selection Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Our inaugural release of 2006 Progeny Cabernet Sauvignon from our Mount Veeder vineyard has a saturated deep red color with a solid core. Ripe aromas of blackberry, blueberry, currant, pomegranate, cherry wood and cigar box are surrounded by beautiful perfumed aromas of cherry blossoms, lead pencil shavings, sweet vanilla and barrel char. On the palate the wine is seamless with mature integrated tannins, concentrated vinous flavors; full and rich but with a high tone touch that last for several moments.
Showcasing a very dark red in color with a deep red/purple edge. Fragrant plum aromas open to a bouquet of dark chocolate, brown sugar and blackberries followed by flavors of black tea, graphite, blueberry liquor and exotic vanilla on the palate. This wine is structured with bold tannins followed by a silky ribbon of flavor that flows elegantly into a long, lingering finish. This wine will reward the consumer with years of longevity.
