Progeny’s Special Selection Reserve (S.S.R.) presents a luscious expression of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 13th vintage remained in French oak for 32 months, followed by 36 months of bottle aging before release.
The color shows a saturated dark red purple color with a ruby hue. Deep and fragrant aromas of boysenberry, lavender, graphite, and baking spices pull you into the glass. On the palate, layers of flavor unfold with mission fig, bittersweet cocoa nibs and a touch of black oolong tea. A silky mouthfeel is balanced by a lively brightness, offering both elegance and structure. This wine is an expression of patience, place, and craftsmanship, built to impress now or cellar for many years to come. Allow 45 to 60 minutes in the decanter for a glimpse of the wine’s full expression and finesse.
